"Fish in a Paradigm Shift" giclee print

$40.00 - $100.00 / Sold Out

"Fish in a Paradigm Shift" giclee print is a high quality digital reproduction of an original painting created in 2020 for the Halophyte Collective group exhibition “Myth in Memory.” The media of the original work is watercolor, gouache and colored pencil.

Created during a time ripe for personal mythology: sheltering in place, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and following the 5.7 magnitude earthquake in Magna, UT on March 18, 2020. Reality felt as though it had been shattered and recreated. This piece was finished following further shaking of prevalent global perspectives on racism and socialization, making recent memories of reality feel antiquated. The pandemic and earthquake primed us to think more communally—those events enabled us to let old selves die and enter the void to see what might be on the other side.
